CISA: China Crude Steel Output Fell 10% YoY from January to February

SHANGHAI, Mar 16 (SMM) - From January to February 2022, China produced a total of 157.96 million mt of crude steel, down 10% year-on-year, with a daily average output of 2.68 million mt; the output of pig iron was 132.13 million mt, a drop of 10.8% year-on-year, with a daily average output of 2.24 million mt; the output of semi steel products was 196.71 million mt, a decrease of 6% year-on-year, with a daily average output of 3.33 million mt.

In February 2022, the key steel enterprises produced a total of 59.36 million mt of crude steel, a year-on-year decrease of 13.17%, and produced 52.33 million mt of pig iron, a year-on-year decrease of 12.94%, and produced 57.62 million mt of semi steel products, a year-on-year decrease of 11.05%.
